Nino Rico, graduated from the university of Rome, Italy, in 1979 and obtained a Master degree from the faculty of Architecture at the university of Toronto in 1988. He became a member of the Ontario Association of Architects in 1984 and in the same year established his professional practice in the Toronto area.  He is also a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada since 1986.

 

Nino Rico is also partner of LAD Canada International, a design firm specialized in urban design and landscape – ecological planning, with offices in Toronto, Canada and Shanghai, China.  In his capacity, Nino has directed several significative projects , such as the tourist resort community of “Canada Village” in Beijing and the PaoJiang residential community in Shaoxing.

He has participated in several architectural and design exhibitions, and several of his designs have been published in both Canadian and American architectural publications. Many of his designs have also obtained architectural awards from municipalities and architectural magazines.

Energy and environmental design sustainability are a personal passion and it is embodied in his design projects. Nino has considerable experience in a variety of projects and building types, spanning from   commercial, recreational, residential institutional and religious buildings. He has also worked on urban renewal and historical preservation of projects in Canada and abroad, with special emphasis on public art band monument design.
