Our firm was hired to design a major renovation to an existing 40 year old church. The program called for an expanded narthex, a redesign of the altar area, new roofing, insulation on walls and ceilings and a new mechanical system.
The main objective of our work was to create a new up-to-date facility by improving its aesthetical qualities while keeping the original design features, both in the exterior as well as in the interiors.
At the exterior, the front expansion of the narthex was integrated with the existing façade, adding glazing around the existing mosaic and a decorative bell tower to the side. |
